Have you just swapped out your answerphone for an AI version, or is the AI actually built into your telephone system?

AI agents are genuinely useful for handling out of hours calls and overflow when no one answers but let’s be honest, your old Panasonic Easa-Phone KX-T1416DBE from the early 80s did that job too. Perhaps it lacked today’s AI polish but it worked.

So the real question is, why bolt modern technology onto an old process just to end up doing the same thing? Shouldn’t we expect more?

The “Bolt-On” Trap

Putting AI on the outside of your phone system can still bring benefits although it does have some real drawbacks.

First, the upside. Whether it’s fully integrated or simply bolted on, AI can be deployed quickly, which lets telephone providers say, “Look, we’ve got AI.” It ticks the box fast. Some so called integrations aren’t integrations at all, they just divert calls externally when no one answers, routing them to another company’s number and calling it a “telephony integration.”

At NTA, we strive to ensure our service is all about you, our resellers. As a result of your feedback and suggestions, we are excited to announce that we are now offering all resellers the ability to demonstrate and deliver the Widget Wallboard feature and Cloud Analytics on the hosted portal at
no extra cost. 

This enables you to demonstrate the features to your customers at the point of sale using true data.

As of 1st December, you will have the capability on your portal to add up to 2 Wallboards, each containing a maximum of 10 Widgets and 1 Cloud Analytics Reporting system for the first 25 users free of charge
(users thereafter will be chargeable).

You must be switched into your ‘Own Comms’ account in order to activate these features at no extra charge. The charges will not appear on your wholesale invoice from NTA. Any Widget Wallboards or Analytics Report added on any of your end customers’ accounts will incur charges.
